And away we go!

Sunday November 27.2011 | So, this is how it feels to have a blog? It’s a tad intimidating and a smidge paralyzing to my thought process. I wonder if people who write journals fear that it might fall into the wrong hands? Will someone read the journal take the words out of context? Oh my goodness, what will I do if someone lashes out at me? Isn’t life complex enough? Why open myself up to this?

Life is a risk. As soon as our feet hit the floor we might encounter conflict with members of our household or with any of the inanimate objects we depend on. As soon as we open up the door and walk outside the chances become even greater we might run into someone or something that will change our mood or attitude into something less than happy.

Better yet, we might encounter someone who needs a smile, a helping hand, someone who needs a kind word or simply to be noticed. Life is more meaningful when we approach the day wondering how we can bless others and less on what we will get out of our day.

This blog has less to do with affirming myself to my peers. I hope the words I put into cyberspace are encouraging, healing, helpful, and amusing to others. I won’t be looking for comments of praise but I will appreciate them. I will try to negate negative words before they fester and affect others.

If you maintain that at all costs, letting everything else go, God will fulfill His purpose through your life. One individual life may be of priceless value to God’s purposes, and yours may be that life.”   -Oswald Chambers

I guess the best thing to do it to simple start. Here we go…
