It might be a few days before I have the opportunity to write another blog post. In the meanwhile, I want to post a link to a dynamic speaker, Christine Caine. I have heard her powerful messages at Women of Faith as well at She Speaks last summer. I didn’t purchase more than two books at the writers conference even though there were hundreds to choose from. The day before I arrived I had been downsized from the advertising agency I thought I would be employed by for many years to come. More on that later… for now, know that I was prompted to by this book BEFORE Christine uttered a word. I knew the daily dose of encouragement would be perfect for the upcoming season of my life. I had a vision in Charlotte, NC of holding onto a buoy in a turbulent body of water. It reminded me of swimming too far at the beach and hanging on for dear life until I could regain my strength to swim back.
God is like that buoy.
So many scriptures offer encouragement.
This is one of the best from Isaiah 40.
Verse 31 is a life-saving verse for many:
But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength.
They will soar on wings as eagles.
They will run—never winded, never weary.
They will walk—never tired, never faint.
If you have followed me thus far, you may be in a place where you are seeking healing. Since I cannot reach out through the Internet, I’ll offer tools of encouragement as I am able. Use the picture of the book to purchase it at a book store or download it via any number of sites. It is good to start rebuilding your life where you are. Don’t wait for the perfect circumstances. Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful. Start somewhere. Don’t be daunted by the size of your issues.
They aren’t the boss of you!
