For the social misfits, like me

My morning reading connected a few random thoughts.

He made me with a plan and a purpose.
He even has a plan for my imperfections.
There is only One TRUE God that can control the universe.
Obedience is great but having a free will to be obedient is even better.

Why the random thoughts?        [Um, what blog are you reading?]

I’ve noticed a few friends are feeling awkward and out of place. Much like being the one not invited to the party where all your friends will be– it is a very lonely feeling. Worse, being there and experiencing the cold looks that paint you into a corner to be a wallflower.

How wonderful when we find a friend who we can be ourselves around! One who embraces your random thoughts and knows how to connect them.

Today I am praying for the random thinkers.
Today I am praying for the people who feel socially peculiar.
Today I am praying for them to find relationships that help them to grow and discover themselves.
Today I am praying they might find a connection with the One who created them, who knows exactly how to use their uniqueness.

Today I am grateful God doesn’t ‘make me’ obey Him.
Today I am grateful He knows my capacity to love others.
Today I am grateful He limits my reach so I can deeply love those I am in touch with.
Today I am grateful for my peculiarities that help me see different perspectives than most of the world.
Today I am grateful we aren’t all the same. I love uniqueness!

“…I know everything about you, far more than you know of yourself. But I restrain My yearning to ‘fix’ you, waiting instead for you to come to Me for help. Imagine the divine restraint this requires, for I have all Power in heaven and on earth.

Seek My Face with a teachable spirit. Come into My Presence with thanksgiving, desiring to be transformed.”
— Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, June 8

Psalm 100:3…
Know this,
the Eternal One Himself is the True God. He is the One who made us; we have not made ourselves…”

This brings comfort rather than feeling like a genetic happen chance. He has a plan and a purpose for all of me!
