Faith Like Popcorn

The other day I threw the leftovers from a batch of popcorn onto the lawn. I giggled recalling, as a child, I believed I could plant a popcorn seed and watch it grow. For just a moment I felt the faith and optimism I had as a young girl. Then, with my next thought, I realized my mind has developed into an adult mind with skepticism and cynicism to jade my thoughts.

I’m going to work to turn my thoughts toward having faith like a child and less like a cynical old fart.

While you contemplate this most recent musing, listen to one of my favorite songs–

Jars of Clay
Like a Child

“You can depend on this: if you don’t receive the Kingdom as a child would, you won’t enter it at all.” Luke 18:17
